Developmental Swim Program

Children will learn and refine swim technique once they have mastered the foundational building blocks of swimming. Designed for youth ages 6 to 12, our developmental swim program does an exemplary job of bridging the gap between learn-to-swim classes and competitive swimming. It is ideal for any student who may consider participating on a swim team or those who just enjoy being in the water.

Led by Olympic gold medalist Jim Montgomery, our coaches work with students in a supportive, high energy environmeny. JMSS maintains a high standard when teaching all competitive strokes. Swimmers will develop techniques that improve swimming profeiciency and gain confidence in and out of the pool. Swimmers will build on each stroke as they advance through our program while gaining the knowledge necessary to become a big league swimmer.

Contact us today for a five to ten minute evaluation to find the JMSS Developmental class that fits your child.

***Must have had previous swim lesson experience and hold basic swim skills with proper stroke technique***

There is a one-time $35 registration fee and all students under the age of 3 or who are not fully potty trained are REQUIRED to wear two cloth reusable diapers. No disposable diapers are permitted in our pools.

The emphasis is on cheering your team members on and rewarding our swimmers for their hard work in practice. These meets are short events, short meet timeline, team building and 1st-3rd place swimmers receive ribbons for their events.

New swimmers must be evaluated prior to enrollment. Evaluations are free and can be scheduled by calling (469) 345-7946 during normal business hours.
